About The Soul Rays:
The Soul Rays play an original mix of straight up Funk with R'n'B harmonies chopped with Hip Hop grooves and attitude. With two amazing lead singers, a low down dirty brass section and a thunderous rhythm section The Soul Rays guarantee a party on stage.

Musically, the band's main influences include James Brown, CHIC and Betty Davis. However, they are not afraid to take influence from other musical genres, listen to any of The Soul Rays shows and you are likely to be able to pick out Reggae, Hip Hop, R'n'B and Motown influences! There is always a strong underpinning of foot tapping booty shaking funk in everything they do. Since starting out, The Soul Rays have shared the stage with the likes of The Sugarhill Gang, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, The Apples, Craig Charles, to mention just a few. 

They first performed in late 2013 and since then have been taking their live performances relentlessly throughout England from grassroots festivals and club events to world class live music venues while releasing the a few singles online. In 2018, The Soul Rays expect to take on bigger events while releasing their debut album Girls Got Game.
