Dice Marx, que la acumulación originaria es al capitalismo lo que el pecado original a la teología. En el capítulo denominado “La llamada acumulación originaria” Marx relató la destrucción forzada y violenta de las tierras comunales y las formas de subsistencia tradicionales. A partir de la acaparación de aquellas riquezas se produjo la primera gran acumulación capitalista.


Sobre esta expropiación de tierras, bienes y formas de vida se construyó el capitalismo. Así lo describe Silvia Federici: “La acumulación primitiva no fue, entonces, simplemente una acumulación y concentración de trabajadores explotables y capital. Fue también una acumulación de diferencias y divisiones dentro de la clase trabajadora, en la cual las jerarquías construidas a partir del género, así como las de «raza» y edad, se hicieron constitutivas de la dominación de clase y de la formación del proletariado moderno.” (Calibán y la Bruja)

En esta sesión sentaremos las bases de esta relación entre acumulación originaria, destrucción de las comunidades, patriarcado y racismo.

Jamnuary 2024 (Day 12) - It's A Crazy Night

Our initial dialog with Synthia was an adventurous creative endeavour that made us question whether machines could have a soul. This one definitely spoke her mind, and left a fascinating mark on both of us as a wondrous machine––––––woman, a marvelous piece of engineering, an entity trapped in a modular eternity.

Considering that neither of us had any previous contact with such a complex modular system such as EMS Synthi 100, we took a somewhat intuitive approach. This is a fairly raw glimpse of the first days spent in the studio.

Oh, Synthia, we only just met...
