Plaisirs Sonores Records is thrilled to announce the release of the 'Dual EP' by dynamic producer, Kabi (AR).

Continuing our mission to deliver captivating soundscapes that push the boundaries of electronic music, this new release will be available on all major platforms from July 28th, 2023.

Kabi, known for his evocative soundscapes, returns with a two-track progressive house masterpiece. With previous signings on renowned labels like Replug and The Soundgarden, Kabi (AR) is no stranger to crafting tunes that echo within the soul and leave listeners yearning for more.

The 'Dual EP' aptly commences with the title track 'Dual,' a rolling progressive house number imbued with resonant synth work and infectious melodies. The tune, like its name suggests, plays on the duality of music - its capacity to energize and soothe, making it a versatile addition to any DJ's set.

Meanwhile, the second track, 'Spicy,' offers a darker, more intense experience. This peak time banger, loaded with hypnotic repetitive synths, is tailored for the throbbing pulse of the dancefloor. Its compelling rhythm and tantalizing progression are guaranteed to immerse listeners in an exhilarating sonic journey.

Label founders Hicky and Kalo are already advocates for this release. They shared their experience, stating: "We've played these tracks a few times at Stereo Montreal and New York with great success. They always work so well in a club setting. The reception has been fantastic, and we can't wait for the audience at large to experience these tunes."

'Dual EP' is a compelling testament to Kabi's musical prowess and a proud addition to Plaisirs Sonores Records' growing catalogue. The EP encapsulates the label's ethos of delivering driving yet emotionally resonant music that not only resonates with listeners but also shapes the future of progressive house music.

Juicebox Music's 72nd release welcomes two Argentinians - Nicolas Leonelli & Juan Buitrago with their collaborative 2-track EP featuring "Sword of God" & "Exlium". Relatively new with around 4 years under their production belt, both Nicolas & Juan have had their music represented by some of the finest imprints around, namely Nick Warren's 'The Soundgarden' & Mango's 'Mango Alley', earning incredible support around the world. Joining forces for their first joint effort, Nicolas Leonelli & Juan Buitrago showcased their strengths in a pair of strong groove-centric tracks with complimenting moods, "Sword of God" portraying a darker & heavier tone with a tinge of hope while "Exilium" depicts a lighter & hypnotic picture. 

Making his label debut with New Delhi (India) based newcomer - Influence. Better known to his friends and family as Tej Singh, Influence catapulted into the scene in 2021 with a barrage of high-quality productions that was hard to miss, earning him releases on MoodFreak & Mike Koglin's 'YOMO', Francesco Pico's 'Magnitude' & Fonarev's 'Digital Emotions' in such a short time-span. Influence takes on a driving approach with a reimagined mood for his remix of Nicolas Leonelli & Juan Buitrago's "Sword of God". 

After his debut 'Sahura / Ramses' EP on our imprint in 2022, Cordoba (Argentina) based Claudio Cornejo makes his return for his first remix with us. Known as one half of the mighty Analog Jungs, Claudio Cornejo's solo project allows him to express his creativity & technicality without any border. His discography boasts of associations with labels such as DJ Zombi's 'Beat Boutique', Juan Pablo Torrez' 'Clubsonica', Mango's 'Mango Alley' and Antrim's 'Or Two Strangers' to name a few. Claudio Cornejo's remix of Nicolas Leonelli & Juan Buitrago's "Exlium" pays homage to the original mood while injecting a club-focused direction.

Plaisirs Sonores Records proudly presents 'The Return', a captivating EP showcasing the talents of Kabi (AR) and Agustin Ficarra. This stellar release features three enchanting tracks that promise to mesmerize listeners and ignite dancefloors worldwide.

The EP kicks off with 'The Return,' a powerful composition that sets the tone with its dynamic energy and mesmerizing melodies. Next up is 'Brave,' a bold and atmospheric track that captivates with its emotive depth and infectious groove.

Rounding off the EP is 'Astrofunk,' a collaboration between Kabi (AR), Agustin Ficarra, and the esteemed Kamilo Sanclemente. This track takes listeners on a very unique journey of jazzy progressive house.

PSR051 represents a fusion of creativity and talent, showcasing the distinct musical styles of Kabi (AR) and Agustin Ficarra while also introducing the collaborative magic of Kamilo Sanclemente.

"Lunar" by Black 8 is an progressive music track that distinctively incorporates melodic elements to enhance its intensity. 
The track begins with a commanding groovy beat and pulsating bass, immediately establishing its high energy nature. 
As it progresses, a melodic synth line emerges, adding an unexpected layer of emotional depth and complexity.

The melody in "Lunar" is haunting and ethereal, creating a stark contrast with the aggressive rhythm section. 
This blend allows the track to stand out, appealing to listeners who appreciate both the raw energy of progressive music and the emotional resonance of a well-crafted melody. The interplay between the melody and the heavy beats is seamless, with dynamic shifts that maintain the listener's interest from start to finish.

Midway through, "Lunar" features a breakdown where the melody takes center stage, providing a brief, immersive respite before the track ramps up again. This section highlights Black 8's skill in creating tension and release, transforming the track into more than just an auditory assault but a journey through varied emotional states.

Clubsonica Records rounds out the summer season by welcoming Ruben Karapetyan back to the label for his debut EP. Born in Armenia but now calling Los Angeles home, Ruben has carved out a unique place in the electronic underground. On the strength of his fresh, progressive sound Ruben quickly earned praise from the genre’s trendsetters in Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while also becoming a regular in Beatport’s competitive sales charts. This resurgence also re-established Ruben’s DJ career, one which saw him share the stage with Sasha & Digweed, Sven Vath and Orbital as part of lineups at legendary events and club nights. Seemingly in constant motion, Ruben’s Clubsonica debut came in 2023 with a remix of ‘Kamikaze’ by K Loveski and Geronimo Eguiguren, a project which would be followed by a contribution to the label’s popular Sampler series later that same year. Now, Ruben returns to Clubsonica for his first artist EP ‘Neurotransmitter | Parisian Vibe’, alongside remixes from Gai Barone and Molac. 

Beginning with the cosmic qualities of ‘Neurotransmitter’, Ruben's craftsmanship reveals itself, as striking chord stabs, phasing sonics and percolating effects flicker atop punchy kick drums and chunky grooves. It's this astral collage which carves out a heady path into a brief but thought-provoking break, one which proves to be tension filled. Ethereal phrasing and swirling noise drift amidst icy synth mutations and billowing sonics for a prophetic mood, eventually giving way to a charged finale that’s nicely suited to the astute dancefloors out there. Meanwhile, the companion piece ‘Parisian Vibe’ follows suit with a similarly tough and modern progressive approach. Ruben’s elusive production chops serve him well here as he crafts a seven-minute journey that is bursting with ultrasonic qualities and a keen sense of rhythm and groove. Flowing through wavy arps and retro acid lines, the first act evolves with a veteran's savvy, eventually revealing an emotive break complete with a tasteful marriage of hopeful pads and haunting vocals, a poignant fusion of sound which is sure to leave long lasting memories on the dancefloor.

Returning to the label for the lone interpretation of ‘Neurotransmitter’ is Gai Barone. With an esteemed career stretching the better part of two decades, Gai Barone has become one of electronic music’s most sought-after artists. Afterglow, Bedrock, Lost & Found, Renaissance and his own Patternized Recordings imprint have been landing spots for some of his most notable work. In a year that has already seen Gai record chart topping remixes for Dreaming Awake, RKP and Vapour Recordings, the talented Italian now returns to Clubsonica with an exhilarating take on ‘Neurotransmitter’. Taking a smooth progressive approach, Gai constructs a tight rhythmic core, complemented with punchy beats, reprocessed sonics and cascading arps. It's this colourful fusion of sound which ultimately makes for a version that is both melodic and club-effective; one that should crossover to a variety of dancefloors across the remainder of the summer season. 

The release concludes with Molac with the lone interpretation of ‘Parisian Vibe’. Based in Ecuador, Molac has carved out a unique sonic identity in the world of electronic music and organic house. His resume is highlighted by releases via All Day I Dream, Songuara, The Soundgarden, Watergate and more. Now, fresh off a well-received debut on Renaissance's long-standing imprint, Molac adds Clubsonica to his resume with an inspired rendition of ‘Parisian Vibe’. Opting for a lighter, more celestial approach, Molac's colorful monochromes, hopeful atmospherics and effortless grooves make this ideal for the morning hours when emotions are at their most vulnerable, in turn adding another weapon to your arsenal.

Kamilo Sanclemente, DHAF - Surreal Visions (DHAF Vision)

This mashup fuses two of my favorite musical worlds: the melodic progressive house of Guy J and the explosive dubstep of Skrillex. I took the deep and emotive atmosphere of Guy J's "Illusion" as a base and integrated the vocals from Skrillex's "Stranger" as a decorative element.

This mashup is an exploration of the sonic possibilities that arise when combining two seemingly disparate styles. The idea is to generate a listening experience that transports the listener through different emotional states, from introspection and melancholy to euphoria and liberation.
