We had the pleasure of working with the talented Emma Corbett-Usher, bringing to life this powerful piece she has written, that is based entirely around her voice and digital piano. The only tiny addition has been a sample of some pages turning, to add to the 'in the room' intimacy factor as she plays the piece, as if you were present, witnessing her turn the pages of her song book.

Emma Corbett-Usher - Morning

Working with Stuart Hannah on this piece was a lot of fun, carefully crafting a specific vibe to complement his style. The song was written by Stuart, where not only did he do the vocal, but that's also him on guitar and piano. One of the main elements we worked on was creating a unique contrast between the verses and chorus parts, providing a different emotive feeling to each.

Stuart Hannah - Kaleidoscopes

When Emma first showed us this track she had written the main riff and lyrics on her piano, but knew that she wanted it to be on a guitar. We sorted that out and also recommended some drums and bass guitar on this one to really give it that funky vibe. To do this we called in the multi instrumental talents of Ben 'the one man band' Turner who provided the session some acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar and drums, with Sound Kitchen engineer Mitch adding some subtle keys/pads in during mix down.
