After exchange of music ideas back and forth since late 2014, artists  @djfita1 and @mahemba came together in 2016 to form ‘Fitemba’ 

The past one year has seen this Kenyan production and DJ duo transcend boundaries of genre and traverse the Kenyan Dance music scene with their music and performances. 

Fusing styles and mixing influences, Fitemba combine melodic elements of different music genres to create a unique sound. Infectious, rebellious, thought provoking and highly energetic, their list of productions is championed by the likes of Jack Rooster (Homeboyz Radio), Dj Protégé & Dj UV on Dance Republic, Dj Nruff and more for its breadth, diversity and massive appeal to multiple audiences. 

Their first EP, “Untitled EP” was a sure shot of dance floor thrill and has received airplay on radio dance shows and has also earned them performances at Capital FM and stellar events such as Color Festival 2015 where they had a chance to play to over 3,000 revelers. Coming months will take things to a higher level as they prepare to release their biggest tracks yet with an LP on the works and several singles featuring artists from the UK and beyond.

The idea was coined by my brother Dj Notna, and although the idea of a 'prescribed' suggestion to do a remix always engulfs my working space with pressure, i really had to give in to this, and I'm glad it turned out to be something i really enjoy bumping into.
