All tracks were recorded in a downstairs toilet over a 4year period. 2018-2021 then 2025.  In the 10ft by 4ft downstairs toilet at the rear of my house. 

80% of the work was focused into a recording period between from Spring 2019 through until the late Autumn of 2020....during the COVID Lockdown's. 

Aside from the core original music, over 2000 cover tracks were recorded, while mini experimentl albums were recorded....attempts at Country, Jazz and going back to his own routes in Reggae....and even a Christmas Album were all recorded manically and churned out... and..... mainly binned the next day!  What remains on here is what was left...of that span of time. 

All vocals on original music were recorded LIVE and delivered in one take only. No editing was possible. I could only record the vocals in full start to finish in one take. 

No lyrics were written in advance of singing the vocals. None have been since either! 🤷‍♂️🤣

All lyrics were sung...'Off The Cuff'.... freestyle, at the point of recording only. No lyrics were ever pre written. So all delivery of words, rhyme and melodies of verses and choruses were a direct vocal response to the feelings felt by THE Man as the music rolled through the headphones. 

And so THE STORIES began to reveal themselves..... unconsciously emptying out vocally, memories unremembered and only then understood by THE Man himself once the track was done and was able to listen back to what he sung. Mic switched off and then played back. 

What was coming out were stories. Real Stories. Delivered in a real manner. unrehearsed, unplanned, unconscious emotive responses. 

Whiskey and coke does that to you! 

After switching on his Mic for some initial musical tinkerings and meanderings in 2018 after what he describes as a very happy peaceful 15yrs of silence....A few months earlier, The Man...had unexpectedly found himsef singing Johnny Cash songs on NYE 2017 through until the first light of dawn in 2018.....6am should be quiet ....and he realised...The damn Jukebox was back.....The ever revolving, never-ending Wurlitzer Jukebox had been plugged in again somewhere inside his mind.... But it was no longer tired, droning on struggling to play the music...It sounded fresh and new and effortless. 

So.....using the basics, a £50 keyboard, some guitars, a pedal, a £50amp and a basic piece of editing / recording software called Adobe Audition from back 2001 yup...2001...

He started at the basics,  using loops, sinple samples, some Studio Jams and some one off rough demo's.. The Standing Man chucked out some demo releases. 

THE STORIES OF OLD was to be the official DEBUT ALBUM due for release March 2020. It would have followed up his out of the blue Jan 2020 appearance on SKYSPORTS & SKY1 long-standing #1 rated live programme, SoccerAM. 

He was debuting the single NOWHERE TO HIDE. The ONLY EVER unsigned artist to appear on the show along with Noel Gallagher & STORMZY.

.....THEN CAME COVID. Everything went silent and he decided pull the plug on the release and wait until 2021. the album though went from 12 tracks to well over 100. 100 Stories. And that's how it'll stay he thinks.  He achieved his goal. record a new album. That was the only aim. 300,000 unique plays later...he's a 'Happy' Standing Man. ✌️

All tracks recorded after dark. 2am to 7am..and only ever after a few Whiskey & Cokes. 

As of August 2025 he released a follow up new demo album, recorded in one week...✌️ ...enjoy! 

ELECTROJUNKY 

Simultaneously he recorded another album in atark contrast to ELECTROJUNKY. THE album, TEARDROPS is to be released under another moniker, another of the Alter Egos...LOUIS AMORE...
