Sennago - Denial

The shift was coming to an end. The machines, covered with metal shavings, gradually stopped working. Dressed in similar uniforms workers, who looked similar in appearance to each other, left the workshop.
The light in the workshop went out. The chief engineer left the workplace in almost total darkness. Suddenly, in the far upper corner, the engineer noticed a clot of matter, rapidly changing its shape, increasing in size. The engineer stopped, immediately took out his Colt from the carbine and took aim.
The mass gradually turned into something resembling a human face. With a heart-rending yell the semblance of a face devoured the engineer. There was a bright flash, the engineer fell to the cold floor, but a minute later he was on his feet. his face was distorted by a grimace resembling a grin, his hand was tightly clutching the Colt.
