The lyrics describe a story of a summer day with the band and their crew hanging out together and getting ready for a big show in their hometown. The title track to the new album is a story about a talented artist who leaves his smaller town to try to make it in the big bad city of false hopes and dreams. As he ascends toward stardom he also gets caught up in all of the evils of the business and begins his fall from grace. But he is able to find the strength to pick himself up and goes back to his town to be with the people he loves. 

The artwork was done in felt by Kate Matthews. The red represents the evil city, the white city is his wholesome hometown and the black is the starry space that separates the two sides.

The Steadies live performance at the 2011 Sask Jazzfest where we have shared the stage opening for Ziggy Marley, The Roots, Bedouin Soundclash and headlined it as Mobadass in 2009!

This funky reggae jam is the lead-off track on the 2008 Island Rock album by the band Mobadass which later changed it's name to The Steadies in summer 2011. It's also an adaptation of an obscure early Wailers song.
