Brandy's Piano Bar on the Upper East Side of Manhattan has been around since the early 80's.  They have a different pianist/singer every night of the week.  Sometimes, I'm one of them!  I love the vibe there.  Customers are encouraged to get up and sing if they want, and the waitress/waiter and bartender double as singers who always bring down the house.  Whenever I'm lucky to be asked to sub there, I give it all I got.  Sometimes that means taking a break from playing covers and spicing things up a little.
Funny how the suggestion of "Yellow Ranger" immediately made me think of the buffoon currently running for president.  Also, I'm clearly a fan of rhyming you with through...

I often play long shifts at Brandy's.  Mostly covers.  Sometimes a few originals.  I threw some improv at them the other night, to promote for my Mad Magic show.  If it sounds like I called Brandy's the gutter, I didn't mean that, and shut up :).  Brandy's is a beautiful, warm and fuzzy place.  Thanks, all the love!
