Flume is a local Sydney beat maker who's only 19 (!) years of age.

Flume got his first taste for producing at age 13 (!!) from the most unlikely of places - a music production program he found in a cereal box. It began Flume's obsession with all things synthetic, and started his addiction for plug-ins, sample packs & vintage analogue hardware.

Sleepless is Flume's debut EP and has enough lush pads, chopped and chipmunked vocals, saw synths and awesome percussion to impress any fan of Hudson Mohawke, Flying Lotus, Seekae or Space Dimension Controller.

this song took me 14 years to right. I came up with the chorus in 2011, I had just moved to wolbraham mass, and I couldn't play an instrument. I didn't finish writing the rest of this song until maybe a few years ago. at least 2 years. finally as of the date this song has been posted. this song has been recorded and finished. I didn't know I was going to write this tune. but I'm proud of myself for writing it. I think it's a good tune.

From their youthful days of quad-lead-singer-rock-n-roll to their indie-roots-rock-tour-mania all the way to their brief stint as a Swedish synth-pop collective, the Brothers Koehler (Shannon and Spence) have remained the creative anchors of San Francisco's The Stone Foxes. 

And now, with Spence pulling a full-on Brian Wilson, writing songs in his sand-filled Malibu beach mansion, Shannon has taken on the role of "full-time microphone boy," leading the charge in the studio and on the road. In this new set-up, the dudes still pull from a hot pool of talented collaborators, both familiar and new.

With the release of their latest EP "Gold", it's clear that the hill-folk turned flat landers have evolved their studio technique from "point the horn at the gut bucket" to a fuller and more sophisticated sound. They've managed to capture and even elevate the unadulterated joy of seeing them live. Even so, one thing remains eternally true of the Stone Foxes; If you die without seeing them live, it will have been a wasted life.
