I grew up in South Central Los Angeles where gangs like the Crips and the Bloods began.  Growing up in the hood was hard and it made us hard.  Most of my friends wanted to be thugs because thugs and hustlers were the only people that had money in the hood.  This song is a true story about my friend chucky and I.  When we were both 8 years old we witnessed the police murdering a petty thief in the alley.  In this case they (the police) were the thugs.

I was walking in the park one day and I saw a little Black bird being attacked by some Sea Gulls.  Watching this natural occurrence in nature caused me to think about all the injustice people of color encounter,  So I sat down and wrote this song.

I had a terrible childhood as I was an abandoned child and wound up living with a relative that was mentally ill.  She beat me and tortured me daily.  She tried to break me down emotionally and physically.  But I was a strong child and I never stopped believeing that some day I would be free from her.  She is dead and gone now.  I survived in spite of her.  I am the winner.  This song is my proclamation of my victory!

Have you ever seen it?  Some call it twerking and others call it dropping it like its hot.  All I know is that it is an amazing thing to see. This is my first offering for 2015.  It is a Dance/Pop/EDM song that has Urban Funk tendencies.  I wrote it with the intention of getting people up on the dance floor.  Also, it is produced with some cutting edge tools like a Talk Box on the guitar, Auto Tune on the adlib vocals as well the T-Pain effect Plug in.

I wrote and produced this song in honor of the birthday of Bob Marley (Feb. 6, 1945) as his music was a big influence on my early musical beginnings.  Although I am singing the lead and several of the background vocals, some of the background vocals are samples of African choirs that I purchased and engineered into the song.  R.I.P. Bob Marley!

This one is for all of the Gay people who are my friends and family.  This song is about the religious and secular bigotry perpetrated against Gay people.  I am against all bigotry and hatred.  We must learn to love and accept all people.  None of us have the right to judge or condemn.  That is God's job.
