I have started writing music using the Solfeggio Frequencies. This piece is written at 528Hz. Solfeggio frequencies refer to specific tones of sound that are said to promote various aspects of health within the body and mind. The Solfeggio frequencies date back to ancient times and were believed to affect the conscious and subconscious mind. In more recent times, the Solfeggio frequencies have been the subject of scientific examination. In the 1980s, biochemist Dr Glen Rein discovered that music has an impact on human DNA. Such impact included healing effects, and the increase in UV absorption. Research indicates that 528Hz has the ability to heal and repair the body. 528 Hz is for clarity, peace, and DNA healing. It is described as “the miracle tone”.

The Story of the Rose is the psybient project of musician and music producer, Rebecca Broadbent aka China Rose.

The Story of the Rose is a place of calm in a turbulent world. It is about finding moments of peace in the chaos and confusion of life. The Story of the Rose draws inspiration from the past but is fundamentally about the present moment, and finding serenity and beauty in the here and now.

This project draws influence from a diverse range of musical styles and genres. Rebecca combines ethereal vocals and soundscapes, sounds from nature, psychedelic textures and melodies, lush orchestration and glitchy electronic elements to create unique stories within the psybient genre.

Within this project, Rebecca has found the freedom to explore subject matters including mindfulness, meditation and serenity, whilst always being inspired by both the simplicity and complexity of the natural world.
