The Strangers are an Australian pop group formed in Melbourne in 2019, known for their May 2023 smash hit "Stupid Coi Leray". They are composed of singer Jake Silverman, guitarist Josh Lauer, pianist Angad Bhatia, bass player Tianzhe Jin and drummer Chandra Devarakonda.

Inspired by Machine Gun Kelly, The Strangers met at Bulleen Heights School in 2019. Jake, Josh, Angad and Chandra became best friends, so they decided to start their very own career as a band. Jake came up with the name "The Strangers", because he thought it sounded cool.

Tianzhe joined the band in 2022, and he had been a fan of The Strangers ever since they first started their career. On 11 May 2023, The Strangers performed the energetic diss track Stupid Coi Leray, which became so big they even made a Stupid Coi Leray EP three months later.

On May 11, 2024, The Strangers released The Best Of The Strangers, a compilation album consisting of their 24 most popular songs, with "Stupid Coi Leray" as the opening track and "No Sleep Till Bedtime" as the closing track. The Strangers are expected to disband sometime in either 2026 or 2027. However, it is unknown what date they will disband.
