The SubAortics are an Original Power Pop-NewWave-Psychedelic-Garage-Rock Sensation for all true fans of Rock and Roll! 

Their songs are exciting guitar, bass & drums driven scenarios of post-industrial life in the 21st Century, with great lyrics that make you think, sing along and want to shake your little booty to the groovy beats while you drive your car at a thousand miles per hour. (standard legalese disclaimer -- not physically possible and definitely not encouraged literally, that is)

The foursome consist of:  

- John Andrew Vaas a.k.a. Johnny 3:16, the singer, guitar & harmonica player and main song-writer - who spends his days as an under-paid exploited thespian in the low-budget indie Film and TV world; 

- Les a.k.a. Les Speed, the inimitably irresistible bassist slash vocalist - who craves the limelight yet is willing to take a step back into the shadows but only for Johnny; 

- Physics Notes - the keyboard player nee scientist, who trades sick licks for beakers full of acidic substances and trippy riffs for exciting Bunsen burner experiments, and, last but not least, there is;

- Ben Agiter a.k.a Bien Agiter - the ever steady and ultra reliable rocking drummer man extraordinaire with the pulsating beats, splashy cymbal play and the dreamy eyes of a matinee film idol that girls (and some boys) really go for.

The SubAortics are from the four corners of the greater Los Angeles area -- the beach, the city, the hills and the desert; plus they are completely reclusive and camera-shy , except for partly Johnny. They are as their music sounds exactly like the land they reside in - relaxed yet energetic, cool but testy, hip though not really that posh and loving the heat because it's a dry heat. Not unlike a day spent navigating the freeways, with the stereo on...

Their favorite contemporary artists are, in no particular order, The Vaccines, The Orwells, MGMT, Skaters, FIDLAR, The Strokes, The Clash, BabyShambles, Serge Gainsbourg, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Social Distortion and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Special inspirational mention to The Ramones. If you like these artists and others like them, you will probably also like The SubAortics . If you don't, the chances are you'll probably like The SubAorticss anyway. If not well.
