Communal living space, the first one.
Considered the first community of the fledgling Jesus Movement.

Provided some of the means, and all of the respectability.

The House of Acts served as a model for similar ministries.

And Lonnie Frisbee spoke up, Keith Green and Larry Norman.
And Christian papers popped up like Right On! Right On!

Suddenly churches didn't care about their clothes or hair length!
The kids were just spreading Jesus all around.

The Sunrise performs uniquely crafted, uplifting Christian music that is 100% inspired by the pioneers of the "Jesus Movement" music of the 1970's. We are inspired by the classics, but our music presents a unique modern feel.

Our debut album, "Spread The Word," was called "a fine album with pointed lyrics addressing romantic love, social justice, pride, emotional abuse, spiritual transformation, and even an altar call" by Christianity Today Magazine.

The Sunrise features acoustic guitar, keyboards, lead and harmony vocals.
