كأنني أصعد الدرج بخطوات هادئة تتخللها لمسات من الرقص، وعيناي مغمضتان. يتغير شكل الدرج بين اللولبي والمستقيم، وأحياناً ينحدر نحو الأسفل. يرافق هذه الرحلة صوت داخلي عميق ينبض بطاقة ذكورية متناغمة، تنسجم مع حركاتي في مراقبة صامتة. ومع كل خطوة، يتسلل شعور بالطمأنينة حتى تندمج الأصوات في لحن داخلي عميق، كأنه يعزف على أوتار الروح.

The complete 20 minutes of the soundscape that I composed for a fibers artist friend, Felicia Murray. She had contacted me three weeks prior to a gallery installation opening of hers that consisted of otherworldly mounds of beautifully colored and textured tufted works of art in a large, cavernous warehouse that completely transformed the space. In those three weeks, I created 8 songs that were inspired by her creations, ranging from a series of different styles yet harmoniously weaved together in one succinct piece (sort of like the patchwork of fibrous lifeforms) that is meant to loop as the public meanders through her works of art.
