Ridds is a Sydney-based DJ whose musical sensibility has had a profound influence on us over the years. 

A member of the indelible DUNJ crew, he is known for entrancing audiences with deep, rhythmic psychedelia.

We invited him to spend some time away from the dance floor and take us on this beautiful cosmic journey in sound.

“This mix is a journey through some of my favourite ambient psychedelic peices. Ambient music has always been a great aid for me when seeking flow, be it exercising or being creative. Produced by a wide range of (mostly) dance music producers, this collection of tracks are inspired by the other worldly.”

8circuit is a new project by secondnature resident Alex Markey. Liquid Link is a set of kinetic, intricately crafted tracks built on deep rhythmic foundations and enriched with his signature atmospheres.

@Otodojo (marokariya.info) is an audiovisual artist who explores sensing within the natural world, reflections of its change, and presence. With contributions to 19 releases and several digital art collections, they are approaching a sound and vision for interpreting environments they visit and embodying the translation of 'otodojo', a sound place for learning.

Labels they have released with include The Bunker NY, Acid Camp, Mint Tea, Mesma Records, Unimatrix Zero, Truncate, and their affiliated collective Microtones that they started in 2018 (microtones.info).
They have also contributed sound to the Oscar nominated animated short film Penglai (2022). 

As an audiovisual artist they have shown works with Cranbrook Art Museum (2022), RED° Tokyo Tower (2022), Otodojo Nodes (2022), Artists for Plants (2021), The Soil Factory (2021), and various promotions for dance events.

They have a doctoral degree in chemistry & chemical biology where they discovered a variety of molecules from nature. They have pivoted from academia but remain an educator by creating tutorials for visual and sound software.

Mixtape 019: Otodojo

Atoloi is the project of Milan/Italy based Matteo Ghiringhelli and we are happy that he accepted invitation to our podcast series.

As a devotee of nature, Atoloi explores sound creating a mellow amalgam of layers using echoing synths, processed field recordings, and self-created samples; all mixed in a lysergic experience of heavy-grained noises and evocative instrumental compositions.
Not sticking only to canon club-oriented sonorities, instead, his productions and mixes search for other depths, in which the listener can get lost in a dense "no boundaries" journey for the body and the mind. 

Atoloi will be one of the performer at Transforma festival 2023, just in case if you would like to catch him around.
