Tsugi Premiere : Shekon - Instant Love

We're in Waterford for our latest premiere where an exciting new label 'Off The Beaten Track', has just launched with an EP from Akari. We premier his track 'No Escape'. 

Off The Beaten Track is a sister label to Seems Legit! and they will both take on new roles as the former will feature a series of eclectic, off-centre releases, and the latter will focus on the more dance floor focused sounds. 

The first release on OTBT is from Akari aka Davin Coady, who hails from Waterford city. This release is reminiscent of low-fi acid house and trip hop styles that would be heard in chill out rooms at raves in the 90s, a slight departure from his more established house and disco style, but still produced to the high standard you would expect from him. 

We look forward to hearing the other artists and sounds discovered by the label, and encourage any artist who feels they have a track that would suit them to get in touch.

En signant la deuxième sortie du label Blue Night Jungle, le duo DudMode agite ses machines et ses inspirations autour d’une acid techno mystique et sauvage, parfois minimaliste, parfois extravagante. Deux faces d’une même pièce que les lyonnais cherchent à exploiter en invitant, tout au long de la face B, deux artistes avec lesquels ils se sentent proches : Jibis, fer de lance d’un nouveau beat techno dense et aérien ; Vardae, gérant de son propre label Allegorythme et défenseur d’une vibe mentale et obscure. « Une Nuit Dans l’Herbe » EP marque ainsi le retour en force des enfants de la rave culture lyonnaise, déjà consacrés par une longue et sensuelle expérience de la scène.

Signing on the second release of the label Blue Night Jungle, the duo DudMode disturbs its machines and inspirations around a wild and mystical acid techno - sometimes minimalistic, sometimes extravagant. Two faces of a same coin which the Lyon guys are trying to explore by inviting, for the whole B face, two french artists they feel very close with : Jibis, head-speaker of a new techno beat both dense and aerial ; Vardae, owner of the label Allegorythme Records and great defender of a more mental and obscure vibe. « Une Nuit Dans l’Herbe » (« One Night In The Grass ») EP marks the strong come back of lyonnese rave culture’s children, already sanctified by a long and sensual experience on the stage.

Founded in October 2017 and known in first place as a party series in Essen, The Third Room expands its spectrum with their debut as a label and mastering studio as well. Those three disciplines going hand in hand and forming our vision as a creative collective. Creating, crafting and sharing the passion that drives us.

After a bitter series of event cancellations caused by the corona pandemic we had to find a way to overcome this financial crisis which has put lot of people in a difficult situation who are driven by love and dedication for what they do. In first place we wanted to give all ticket buyers who waived their refunds for the cancelled The Third Room x Bassiani event at UNESCO World Heritage’s Mischanlage a “thank you” gift in form as a Fundraiser Compilation. We wanted to preserve what we have built up over the years at our home base. Because we do believe that the Mischanlage is maybe the most aesthetically-techno place we’ve ever seen.

We, the founders Ahmet Sisman & VNNN., reached out for artists we have invited on our events, build up a strong relationship and sharing the same ambition for what we stand for. Not only regular guests such as Dax J, Ellen Allien or SHWD & Obscure Shape who have accompanied us over the years, but also new friendships have risen up with artists like Henning Baer, Héctor Oaks or Markus Suckut. Or collectives such as Lebendig, R-Imprint, Brutalism, Purify and Acid Wave Records. It is safe to say that we have our own special story with each artist on this compilation and it shows once more that music unites us in these hard times. If you like what you hear, buy the music, support the artists and the local scene. Everyone who has held their T3R x Bassiani Tickets will get a download link of the compilation.

“I have been in love with the Detroit sound of techno since forever, so when I discovered Subradeon, I was immediately struck by the soul and energy of their music. I have been lucky enough to get to know Giuseppe and Salvatore over the last year and so it was always a dream for me to have them release a record together on Sous. Now this is happening, I couldn't be more excited. They have made three spectacularly good tracks that I know will last forever in my heart, and hopefully in yours too” opens Anja.

Sous has been drip feeding us top line releases all year long, despite the world coming to a standstill, Anja believes that continuing to release music is important to keep spirits high. She has been showcasing some of the newer talent from around the globe alongside some household names including Marcus Suckut, Fort Romeau and Mella Dee to the last release from Italian duo Reform.

October brings Subradeon. Hailed as the new school of the techno scene, they might have grown up in the Neapolitan underground scene, but their sound has become a melting pot of influences from their current home town of Berlin and the duo’s self-confessed spiritual home of Detroit.

Giuseppe Salone and Salvatore Lannotta deliver their debut release ‘Breaking Down Borders’ on Sous, compromising of their characteristic raw soul, profound meaning and energetic purpose. This package includes a remix from Techno pioneer Stephen Brown (Djax Records, Transmat, Music Man).
