This mix is an attempt to cover and condense what's been on my mind, shaping it into a coherent narrative - a sort of speculative history of imagined futures. I wanted to reward patient listeners with something that gradually unfolds, something that at moments feels eschewing and idiosyncratic, playing with tone and rhythm in ways that contrast trends. 

The story is propelled by this sense of futurism that has always existed in our music and our culture, while being firmly rooted in history's oldest instinct - forward motion.

Championing a sound both rugged and trance-inducing, Porto-based Brazilian producer Marcal clocks in this week with two hours blending future-proof warehouse rave material and claustrophobic 4x4 maneuvers. Hot on the heels of his latest ’Nature of the Future’ EP on Donato Dozzy and Neel’s imprint Spazio Disponibile, Marcal takes us on a mind-bending ride down raucous sine-scapes and brooding, verbed-out atmospheres, constantly pushing the envelope of techno as can be experienced these days. Resuming its course as a means for transcending our (currently much gloomy) zeitgeist, techno here gets back on its revolution-friendly tracks, finding its second breath as a metamorphic tool for blazing new paths and routes towards a better, more intelligently designed world. FELFENAS is the collaborative project of Ankara-based DJs and producers Guru’w and Cenk Tripper. Moving between hardgroove and breakbeat while keeping their raw underground edge, the duo merges their individual visions into a powerful common ground. Their second combined EP will now be released on KAPSUL, featuring two solo tracks from each artist.

With Guru’w’s hypnotic blend of fast grooves, 90s-inspired techno, and breakbeat energy, and Cenk Tripper’s dynamic, old-school hardgroove-driven sound that has already gained strong recognition across the scene, Felfenas embodies both intensity and freedom.
