We are super hyped to present the 73rd edition featuring a high intensity hour of groove from re:flect co-founder Ciaocacao!

Ciaocacao is a female DJ living in Berlin. Next to her solo project she is also part and co-founder of the interdisciplinary collective re:flect. Music has always fascinated her for a long time. She used to love to dance for hours and get lost in the melodies and rhythms – today she tries to create these exact feelings of freedom and ecstasy through her sets. This is also where her inspiration comes from, for her there is nothing better than seeing how she can take people on a musical journey and make them dance. Her sound is focused on an energetic, groovy and rolling tunes with a high tempo.

The deadly duo from Hannover, Lyza and Ericson, the Bonnie and Clyde of groovy techno, have firmly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. The joint project is the lovechild of the two accomplished artists, focused on fast and driving, uplifting rhythms, using three decks to maximum effect. Both inspired by the groove, the two have had multiple successful releases, showcasing their vision, demonstrating time and time again their credibility for the dancefloor as well as their flaming passion for the craft. MYRA is a Dutch techno DJ and producer with a pure passion and an ever evolving taste for electronic music. Her signature is up-tempo energetic groovy rhythms with hard hitting percussions, and hypnotic atmospheres with a trippy touch that dives deep. This powerful blend of sounds, creatively merged, releases energy to everyone present.

Coming from a musical family, MYRA started playing piano at a young age. Soon after she discovered electronic music, and over the years she gathered a carefully chosen vinyl and digital music selection. 
Taking the next step, MYRA got into producing music and released her first tracks. She also started to play at renowned underground clubs throughout the Netherlands, where she connected with many like-minded people. As a result, she feels inextricably connected to the electronic music scene.

MYRA is a graduate of the Electronic Music Academy at the conservatory of Amsterdam where she honed her musical and creative capacities. At the conservatory she discovered her fascination for analogue gear, that she now use intensively as a producer. Her artistic journey is just starting to unfold, propelled by a mindset and drive to push boundaries, and aiming to become a live act in the near future.

Techno, Art, and Technology. I've been involved in Techno since early 1993, and spent a lot of time between 92' and 01' driving from Boston to NYC (and back) chasing a specific sound, and as it turned out, was a part of some pretty memorable Techno events.  So many warehouse parties hosted by Sonic Groove, Mental Unity / Electronik Underground, and others throughout those decades.  

After 2001 the Techno scene pretty much collapsed for a few years in NYC, due to issues related to the Sept 11th attacks, such as artists having issues obtaining a US visas, the world economy, pointless wars, and a collectively paranoid government.  Boston (my home) never really had a well established Techno scene before 2012 or so.  But Manchester N.H. sure did, between 1993 and 2001. Thanks to N.E.A.U. ("New England Acid Underground", circa 1993-95) which then became N.E.W. ("New England Works", circa 1995-2001) which focused on underground Techno, hosting many epic warehouse parties, and became a base for a diverse group of people from various backgrounds, many of which I had grown close to in those years. This collectively represented what I felt was my "home base" at the time, fulfilling my strict preferences within electronic music, and of course the quality of the people.  We had a good link with the Sonic Groove crew down in NYC between 1993 and 2000, shared some great events, and I learned a lot about music, DJing & composing.  I'll never forget that early Manchester, NH scene, or all of the people involved that helped to establish it each in their own way, nor will I forget all of the amazing people in New York City who welcomed us, shared with us some unbelievable sounds, hosted some of the most memorable events, and hosted such a dizzying array of talented artists from around the globe.  

I'm still plugged into Techno today, of course, but established groups are hard to come by in Boston, and many from NYC have moved on to Europe where they can make a living and thrive in it's long-established Techno scenes.  Thankfully one of the most active and Techno focused groups has been doing great things in the Boston area over the last five or six years, (INFRA Boston), more than any point I can recall anyway. I am thankful that Boston is finally flexing it's Techno muscles, because this crew has brought in some serious goods from around the world.  So even with everything going on the last few years, I feel that my region of the world is looking as bright as ever when it comes to the music that I love.    Pure Techno.....
