As a new monthly challenge for 2021, I've decided to grab all the free Tech House downloads from Hypeddit's Top 100 charts to make a new, one-hour live mix featuring as many tracks as I'm able to get into the mix...

Best of Tech House: April 2022

Best of Tech House: April 2022 (70+ Free Tracks)

'Density' is the ninth release on Cortex Recordings and Tony Tyson's sixth on the imprint since its launch in October 2017.
The title track is dominated by an intense, EBM inspired synth arpeggio that ebbs and flows throughout the track, providing powerful tension and release. 
'Chemical Shift' is an energetic acid workout: a hypnotic bassline provides a solid foundation whilst classic 303 squelches take centre stage.

Christian Cambas is back and celebrates his return with an original track on one of his favorite labels.

Keeping things totally subliminal with a haunting melody and an apocryphal vocal snippet, we are kept locked in via the pulsating bass and commanding synths that seem to have been programmed in some kind of dismal future.

A remix from label boss T78 was essential to this release, and the original has been completely flipped on its head, with a big surprise halfway through, as only he knows how. Another brother-in-arms from the other side of the pond is up next, and of course we are talking about Durtysoxxx who based his version on the synth progressions and provided the heads-down vibe of the package.

UK duo Drumsauw seal the deal with a spacious mix, letting their rendition breathe effortlessly while keeping the production crystal clear.

There's also a return for many established label favourites such as UVB, Dax J, Zanias and Thomas P. Heckmann as Knarz.

To round out the compilation there’s a re-release of the timeless 1998 cut, “Devious Methods,” from legendary artist, Hive, and Tellurian’s hardcore classic, “Big Bad City,” gets a new mix from Dax J.
