Man Out Of Time

Rodney Smith, part of the bar band scene of the 1980s (Paraphernalia, Open Highway, Tyrus) decided he wanted to write his own songs and make his own albums.  Beginning in 1983, his first proper album was So Much For That before making the low fi garage classic Town's Edge Rock. Known as Route 66 from 1983 to 1990, Smith renamed it The Townedgers to avoid confusion with 15 other bands that use that name.  influences ranged from The Who to Velvet Underground but also garage rock in particular.  After a 2008's Pawnshops For Olivia there was a five year break before the new album 30 came out. A new album Forthcoming Trains will be released late spring 2014.
