LOUD AS GIANTS is Justin K Broadrick and Dirk Serries.

Justin K. Broadrick and Dirk Serries have been musically in sync since the early eighties when they both were active in the underground cassette network, individually producing experimental, industrial and noise music.  
Both with the highest appreciation for each other’s work for almost two decades, they finally met during a joined tour where Dirk, as Fear Falls Burning, supported JESU during the CONQUEROR Tour.  

Finding out that they both a huge admiration for each other’s immense discography and versatile musical activities, working together was only a matter of time. Remixes (for Vidna Obmana), reconstructions (for Continuum), collaborations (with Dirk Serries’ Microphonics and Fear Falls Burning) and helping each other out at concerts became a constant until finally they unleashed LOUD AS GIANTS.

In “Each Moment Replacing the Last,” Chris takes a special interest in drones and slowly undulating waves of sound. It contains some of his most restrained and minimalist compositions. What arises in the stillness is a keen awareness of both the notes and the empty space around them. As with much of his music, those spaces are usually occupied with some subtle movement—field recordings and the rustle of household objects. “Each Moment” emerges as a meditation on organic noise and silence.

Following the opener is Born In The River which was released on 10 February 2023. The track features tribal-like breakbeat sandwiched by hallowed chants – A juxtaposed scene; gravity is blanketed by serenity. 

“The track Born In The River is about how we all were born in the river. When we are born, we aren’t in a stable situation, everything around us is ever-moving. The river symbolises that constant motion. My zodiac sign is Pisces, so there is a little of me in this track also.” The Allegorist


The Tale of TEKHENU, for the seekers

Born in the fast-moving river, she was part of it. The river didn’t cause her to be who she was, but it was her origin in this life. She could have stayed, but a beat in her heart made her fingers tremble; a longing in her spirit for life and a driving force in her mind called her by her name. And so she left to risk, live, explore, and follow the invisible.

Today, in the deep silence of the cold midnight, she couldn’t fall asleep. It was all the effort of the journey that kept her awake. Gray fog lay heavy on her mind. Resting her head on a stone with her legs tucked up, her heart was beating in pain, and her limbs felt heavy and tired. All those years spent walking thousands of miles through deserts and winds, climbing up mountains and swimming through seas, learning where to take turns, how to read meanings in the stars, studying maps of various cultures, seeking knowledge of all kinds, and still, now, she was lost.

Dreaming of answers within her, she woke in the light of tomorrow, and between the trees on the little meadow wet with dew, the first rays of spring’s sun beamed through.

The perfect closure on his alter-ego's vidnaObmana and Fear Falls Burning completes the trilogy. A tryptich that has come full circle with re-enactment of his passion for the pure, minimal and beautiful.
