Joe Truman was born 24th December 1989 in Cape Town, South Africa. He is the eldest of four, two brothers and one sister. Joe is a very passionate musician and has been for as long as he can remember, winning seventeen singing competitions since the beginning of his singing career with his first being at the age six.

Joe’s community work and travels have made him a popular figure in and around South Africa. His fusion of jazz/soul/funk/urban makes him truly unique in his performance style. Collaborating with notable artists such as Emo Adams, Theo Jantjies, Calaire Phillips and Chad Saaiman he is able to move between genres with relative ease. Aside from singing, Junaid has also found time to direct at least nine musical productions in South Africa. Many calling him an “Artistic Visionary” and a true “Inspiration” to those having aspirations to be in the entertainment industry. He has a love for many diverse cultures and is always keen to learn more
