Even though Pier 88 (www.pier88seafood.com) is also a franchise, who can deny talking about the great food and experience. Duh, no one!

Hearing names like Big Poppa, Unicorn or Crème Brulé, you might have an idea that you’re in some type of pasty shop, right?  But this isn’t just any pastry shop. It’s the world’s most award-winning Donut Bar (www.donutbarvegas.com) of Las Vegas.  Make sure you check out the restrooms!  DOH!

Ep 213: [Vegas Edition] Jack in the Box, seafood boils and award-winning donuts

The tea cake is a celebratory baked cookie in conjunction with Juneteenth. It’s possible that it began being made well over 200 years ago, though it may have been called another name. Duly elected Tea Cake Commissioner for Juneteenth Celebrations, Etha Robinson encouraged the learning and understanding about this nostalgic cookie by saying, “revitalizing the tea cake so young people will know about their heritage that their ancestors provided for them”

Whether it’s vegan, Mexican, or just free food being distributed to the community, check out the various food events happening in our community.
