This (self)release is inspired by George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984”. Written about 75 years ago, it somehow anticipated many of the absurd realities we are facing in the present.

The book focuses on the impact of totalitarianism, mass surveillance, and the strict control of individuals and their behaviour within society. It also explores the use of indoctrination, specifically through a concept called “doublethink”, where individuals are required to accept two contradictory beliefs as true, even when these beliefs contradict their own memories or perception of reality.

“WAR IS PEACE”
“FREEDOM IS SLAVERY”
“IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH”

In 1984, these slogans belong to “The Party”, a political organisation that preserves its power through constant surveillance, manipulation of reality, control of information, and the suppression of independent thought.

I encourage to read the novel, think about what’s depicted in its pages and how it compares to the modern times.

The Italian power duo RVDE delivers the 16th mix of the TNDB-series. Frank and Vasco aka RVDE are insane producers, writing very layered and versatile tracks whilst subsequently incorporating them in their very energetic sets.

RVDE has been doing quality shows for quite some years now. Getting their music out and supported by techno's greats. Their rolling and driving techno with influences from industrial and oldschool rave leaves an imprint. With a groovy and punchy approach, you can never go wrong with an RVDE set.

Vendex is a DJ and producer born in Barcelona. He began to mix at the age of 14 to 15 years and began to produce in 2016 various genres and subgenres of electronic music. He is now focused on techno, specifically in the Dark, Industrial, Acid and Hard Techno.
During the summers he grew up in Ibiza, since he has family on the island, thanks to this he had at his disposal many artists and genres with different influences.

Today he has found his way, the path of Techno, with a philosophy that envelops him in a cloak of darkness. Influenced by the literature of Dante Alighieri in his work the Divine Comedy, as well as everything related to history, Vendex comes with the intention of creating a path to an inner journey wrapped in dark melodies, blunt and sharp bass that defy the natural, reaching supernatural sounds that touch or even reach what would be the sound of the underworld. Generating sounds that guide the Dantesque idea of ​​a trip in the underworld with the aim of reaching paradise. All this through a forceful and enveloping sound, this creating a path to the nine levels of hell, purgatory and finally reaching paradise.

Influenced today in his sessions by artists such as @daxj, @parallx-bln, @ihatemodels, @scalameriya, @ancient-methods, @tommyfourseven, @setaoc_mass and many more.

Now based in Lyon, Florian Grangier is an artist of the French techno scene since 2009. It was under the name of Don Serata that he started to play before creating his first tracks.

From 2011, he took part in an EP with the label French Frequency, then several tracks and EPs in Europe and the USA (Coco Machete, Macro Records,Deal With It). Wishing to be more autonomous and curious to discover new talents, he created in 2014 his own label Unusual Records to broadcast his music and support other artists, while performing in local clubs (DV1, Life City, 101, Ninkasi, Maison Mère, Terminal, …).

Full of resources and surprises, this versatile and passionate artist will catch the attention, as was the case in 2018 with Nina Kraviz who caught up his track London in her own DJ sets.

In 2019, after 10 years of mix and production, he takes a new identity and becomes Amour Noir, a confirmation of a style and a state of mind, committed to asserting a techno music that is both powerful and attractive. Let yourself be tempted…
