In the early 90’s I recorded a mixtape called Sector 101, it was popular for some time and I got to play part of this set on Power Toolz 106 FM which was a DJ radio show broadcast in Los Angeles on Saturday nights (this is where I met Richard Humpty-Vision, Tony B, Sweedish Egil, and Gerry Meraz).  This is also when I started to play DJ sets on Sweedish Egil’s Groove Radio and KSPC.  I put a link to my original mixtape recording below.  Back then DJs were making lots of mixtapes to hand out to promoters and fans, it was like a DJ’s business card.  We also had to deal with the 90 minute hard time limit, 45 minutes per side of an audio cassette tape, which was pretty annoying.  In the Fall of 2023 I decided to continue this mixtape series and released Sector 303, so now here is the 3rd mix in the series, Sector 606!  I hope you enjoy the music, and be on the lookout for more sequels in my Sector dj mix series!

Hey guys, hope you all had a good Christmas and new years celebrations. We are back again and ready to kick off 2021 with a brand new mix in the @theundergroundhype mix series, 011 comes from German based DJ & Producer @Nimble_music 

Music has always played a major role in my life. When I was young, I listened to hip hop, soul & funk, which quickly made me want to create music myself. I joined my brother to produce some hip hop beats using software and a MIDI keyboard. We had a lot of fun playing around and I think that time formed my taste in sound - I’m still into clean drums and subby basslines. Those first steps also made me understand how tracks are built - and what a solid groove is all about.

The underground party scene in my hometown finally made me discover electronic music. First it was classic house & deep house, later it became tech house & deep tech. I developed a passion for groovy and bassline focused minimal / deep tech tunes, which still represent my style as a DJ today.

I’m not the ‚Beatport-charts‘ type of guy - I spend most of my time digging and looking for underground records that fit my style. I like it a little more uptempo than usual, so 125-127 BPM is my kind of tempo. I love to speed up slow deep house tracks to make them dancefloor- ready and integrate them into my sets.
