" Dedicated to & inspired by the people in my life. Each track is named after someone who I feel has made a huge impact on my life & the way I see the world. I got sounds that reminded me of them (favorite songs,movie scenes,etc.) and made tracks from those samples after I would spend time with them..talk to them..or even just think of them. I tried to put whatever emotion I had from those moments into song form. During the time I was making this project I had a lot of things going on with my life..working on these songs helped me get my mind off everything. It was great because I didn't have to leave my own room to go to another place,all I had to do was close my eyes and listen. It was a fun idea that turned into a whole project that helped me more than I thought it was. I'm happy to share it with you. We've taken dozens of tracks into consideration to curate the finest selection of progressive music from around the world to bring visibility to the future sound. Because there is so much talent out there, it was challenging to pull this compilation together to showcase a progression and cohesive flow that reflects both Stussy and Soulection cultures respectively. 

You will see familiar official Soulection artists on this compilation as well some new talent from forward-thinking and ambitious producers, emcees and vocalists that we're excited about and feel have a bright future.

Our partnership with the iconic brand includes a 'Soulection Tribe' limited t-shirt designed by Stussy as well as a physical in-store event and after party at our Sound Of Tomorrow Los Angeles monthly at The Echoplex on 9.5.14.

Eritrean-American DJ, producer an all-around creative Eden Hagos brings visibility to those future sounds that you can’t quite put your genre finger on. Deeply rooted in underground hip-hop, sample-based, percussion-heavy tunes, and future bass, Eden’s ear for unique sounds has kept her digging since her uncle gave her her first Fugees album at age 16.

Eden has dropped 20 mix-tapes - the third installation, "Currently", caught the attention of OkayPlayer deeming the young beatstress "a prophet of future sounds". The beat scene and local producers started listening and partnerships with artists, labels, and connectors in the community became plentiful.

Miss Hagos’ love for creative culture has led to opportunities to perform at underground clubs, international festivals, and celebrity and fashion events alike. She has opened for Snakehips, Anderson. Paak, Jmsn, Syd tha Kid, Tokimonsta, Sango, and Goldlink to name a few.

Eden is poised to bring light to the beat makers in this movement while uncovering and educating folks along the way of all of the genres that exist within these future sounds.
