groovy!  love how the bits of very digital mix with the smooth, almost organic aspects

If there ever was a soundtrack to someone bouncing around in a paisley pink and blue padded room in an asylum for the happily insane, this could be it. Dosed on a solid regimen of comfort and bliss, every so often the room tilts sideways and you roll smiling into another softly padded wall. Hypha has truly outdone himself this time with glitches produced with such care that they appear gentle and comforting, twists that seem like a good idea every time they happen and a good amount of melody and use of atmospheric pads to warm the whole thing up.

Hypha fried our minds last year with his EP Whispers, his recent remixes of Bevvy Swift and Psymbionic and the release of his tune ‘Supra’ on Gravitas Recordings have pushed the envelope even further with genre blurring from DnB, to Trap and Footwork / Juke and a whole bunch in between. France-native Lil Fish unveils his newest musical masterpiece and first project with Gravitas Recordings, Organic. Alongside the title, the term “organic” is manifested in two unique ways within this personal and introspective project. First, it depicts the organic side of acoustic instruments. It illustrates the warmth and richness of ethnic instruments and the emotions that visual images may elicit. The tracks featured are mixed with deep, energetic electronic rhythm and atmosphere to travel along a musical journey. Second, it is organic by being rooted to nature, in connection with the essence of life. Organic contrasts with the technological world, which tends to distance people from the essence of life over time. This EP evokes the desire to become aware and to stay grounded through mind traveling music. Fabien presents these ideas in a dynamic of hope through six colorful pieces inside a musical melting pot.

“Apologize” draws listeners into a mind traveling escapade within euphoric worldly bass comprised of ethereal soundscapes. “Theory” blends hard hitting bass with melodic, ethnic music that induces inner reflection. Featuring CloZee, “The Lost Voices” presents fluid synthesis before the cries of the lost voices are entwined with spiraling ethnic instrumentation. Suddenly, listeners must run through and escape the “Burning Forest” that trails behind, later finding salvation within peaceful atmospheres. Title track “Organic” instigates a grounding back to nature through tranquil beats that inspire awareness and a sense of wonder. “Origines” concludes the EP with dynamic acoustic environments, which mind travel listeners back as they finish grounding themselves back to nature.

Fresh off a successful year of music releases, music festival performances, and co-headlining runs, Templo comes to Gravitas Recordings to debut his long-awaited creation, Mountains Can’t Cry. This six-track EP is rooted within Liam’s inspiration from world instruments and sounds in nature. After producing an array of diverse styles and genres over the past few years, he would always find himself returning to Mountains Can’t Cry whenever he needed to relax. Evident within the EP's melodic fusion, Mountains Can’t Cry was an outlet where he was able to let the music flow naturally. Liam has always been attracted to ethnic and dub reggae styles of music, and listeners can expect to hear more organic sounds in future releases to come.

“Magnetics” quickly establishes the ethnic and reggae grooves that are to come as an experimental soundscape enters, riddled with a sampled atmosphere of those who inhabit the area. As the sun goes down and darkness overlays, “The Owl Watches” throughout the night, examining the mischief and mistreatment that has been done through a series of ominous strings. Cries from the mountain attempt to produce during “Shot In The Dark,” but they struggle to form once the psychedelic dub acoustics make their strike. Wandering along the Earth, “Tommy Heads West” to further detect world instruments that accompany groovy riffs and oscillation. “They Gone” introduces the meek weeps from sentient creatures that strive to vocalize on behalf of the mountain. As nature itself begins to power down in “RedShotScandal,” the tides abruptly turn as living creatures and world fusion collide to form a powerhouse of hope for the silent mountain.

As fans of electronic music, we were frustrated having to search so many websites to find the information we were looking for.  Specifically, we wanted to track our favorite artists, search upcoming local area events, and listen to music samples from a variety of electronic music genres.  We wanted to visit one website for all of our electronic music informational needs.  The Untz was created to fill this void.
