Fans of the Viper radio will know the Future Fire concept, a moment in the show where Futurebound introduces us to drum and bass’s most promising acts, now here at Viper Recordings we’re taking it a step further and releasing a whole EP filled with the hottest new talent exclusively selected by the head honcho.

After debuting tracks from both DEAD WAX and Blackley ft. MC Dino on the recent sampler,
the next part of the EP’s selection starts with Twentytwo, with Elipsa on vocals for opening record ‘Energy’. With Elipsa’s dreamlike vocals sifting in and out of the mix, it’s easy to see why Twentytwo is gaining a reputation for merging soulful production with moodier underpinnings. Grinding bass channels smash through the mix despite its emotive build up and it shows a different flavor to an already impactful release.

Finishing the ‘Future Fire’ EP are the pounding dancefloor sounds of Houndeye’s ‘Falling Awake’. Adding another diverse yet hard-hitting take to the EP’s tracklist, Houndeye goes for the jugular with his offering. Filled with slamming drums and synth-led breakdowns, it highlights a flipside to Houndeye’s usually more laid back rhythms.

After days of finalizing track versions and packaging them into a release, what you see is just a glimpse of the effort, manifested in this release titled "Various Artists vol. 3".

Estonian drum & bass marvel Sound in Noise became a member of the Ram team in 2017. Since then he’s toured across the European continent and brought with him an eclectic record collection which has sat pride of place within the Ram catalogue.

For 2020, he’s set to drop the third part of his ‘Shapes’ EP series, with three out of four tracks already dropped on Andy C's notorious lockdown live stream. With the emotive synthesis stabs of ‘Give it All’ alongside Insct, the crunching rhythms of ‘Believe in Monsters’, the upbeat momentum of ‘Sugar Rush’ and dizzying switches of ‘YO’, Sound in Noise takes you on a rollercoaster of styles. The producer takes no prisoners, with an EP to suit all palettes. And it's a move in the right direction for the full project’s release.
