Set played at the second Upside Down event at colorbox studios.

Playing around with different vibes, getting a feel and settling into the sound i'm creating for these events. Not the smoothest combination in my opinion but i really enjoyed the set and the vibe was great.

Having absolute freedom of creativity and direction when being booked for a set is when I'm happiest.

In a world where information/music is so easily accessible (with the likes of Shazam, Spotify etc), as a dj it has become that much more of a challenge to find your signature sound and stand proud amongst the rest. 

‘The Upside Down’ events offer the dj with a comprehensive library that poetic license to showcase unconventional music for the typical club setting. 

I relished the process of creating and playing this set for these reasons…knowingly to the mature, ‘forgiving’ audience this crew attracts.

The moment Ash from Upside Down asked me to record a mix for them I was so honoured and knew that I had to create something special and take the listeners on a journey.

This mix is filled with beautiful creative melodies and nasty bouncy bass lines influenced from German down tempo with a housey sway.

Dune - The Upside Down Mix

Music always sounds amazing on the river and Wolfkop has been one of those festivals that bring nature, music and incredible people together. 

It was our pleasure to provide the morning wake up-shake up sound track for 3 hours from 10am-1pm. Building a dance floor is something we love to do and take pride in setting the vibe for the day.

Its a lovely journey from gently chilled to getting the dance floor warmed up for the afternoon session.

Somewhere, between spaces and dance floors, exists a place called The UpsideDown. 

Things don't move fast there, but they certainly don't feel slow.

Blood rushes to your head when you are UpsideDown, it oxygenates your being. Imagine your feet walking on clouds with the earth as your sky.

Here the dark night reflects the life-giving luminescence of the day, where resonant frequencies shine as harmonies connecting with the underground.

There is no rush to get anywhere in the UpsideDown, the beats reflect this sentiment with the downtempo pace in the space within which it exists.

With life moving at a rapid pace around us, we aim to use the space and time to connect and dance.
