Fun Fact 1: This track was originally called SGPxMAXBxVRSY. Why? Because at the time I was listening to some old school NASA Freestyles from SpaceGhostPurrp and stumbled on this freestyle, which he rapped over the instrumental to one of my favourite Max B tracks “Why You Do That”

It’s time to celebrate blackness.

It’s time to shine.

I’ve always believed a black man in America has a spot reserved for in a casket or a jail cell when you’re born. An unjust justice system and vigilante police are the root of the problem.
Growing up on the U.K even at school we were made to feel like we didn’t belong in society. Racism here is in: - the way people talk to you
- the treat a black man like a boy unless he has a beard (*don’t shave your beard by the way - stay woke)
- the unwritten rule that you must always appear “non-threatening” - the way people ask you for #Rizla just because you’re black (because you must smoke weed right? Look at them lips?)
- the way they look down on the culture
- the way they suppress the success black artists from rising on a mainstream level unless they play ‘the chart’ game (*you know the one)
- the way work places assume you represent all black people

But that will NOT be our reality or our destiny.

Let’s celebrate what makes us great, unique & special, It’s time!
