This is the first demo of my electronic project, Danie LP.
It's as much about having fun as it is about dancing or telling stories with sounds. I would be stoked if this came out in physical form.

Years ago I wrote this track on the Korg DS 10. Now I've revisited it with The Rig. And what can I say? It's still groovy!

This is the last Monaco Vinyl Disco Mix for the Auflegeware-Series on Radio München - for this year. So of course it became a Best Of, containing some of mine and our favorite tracks, from the 80s to now. Have fun!

Retro Mix - back to the 90s

I've heard of people listening to CTGs and thinking about nothing else than their unborn baby and his/her mother, hoping all goes well while giving birth, imagining a future together, seeing their child grow up in their mind's eye.
Well, what can I say? I'm not them. 
I listened to the CTG, heard a beat and had to make a track with it. It's fast - an unborn child's heart beats as fast as 136-145bpm, and I had to slow that down to arrive at a reasonable 130bpm.
It's still fast, and a lot of fun - and now my son can dance to it!

Paul's Beat

I love hiking in the mountains. I also love taking good, long breaks while doing it.
The idea to this jam came to me while sitting on a bench some 1500m above sea level, enjoying a magnificent view and the sandwich I brought.
I hope you enjoy it, too! (The track, not the sandwich)

Verschnaufpause

The first time I listened to our coffee machine warming up I knew I had to make a track with that sound - it reminded me of a good old, straightforward 90ies rave bass. I ended up sampling two coffee machines and several synths, spent a good long time mixing it and mastered it three times until it sounded just right. Totally worth it.

Fresh Brew

I've always loved rhythms that transcend the usual 1-2-3-4 structure - I used to be a drummer, and I get bored easily. So I did this jam with a 3-against-2 bassline and improvised over it with a Volca Keys Synth, then auto-filtered everything into oblivion. Hope you enjoy it :-)

Drei vor zwölf

This is an edit of a favourite song of mine, "Mista Mista", originally sung by Wyclef Jean. I'd like to play it out sometime, so I set it to a lil' beat :-)

Wow - what a track! I had to slow it way down so I could make this relaxed, soulful Deep House/Dub version, hopefully bringing out the underlying textures otherwise swept away by the original and emphazising the enormous feeling of loss the incredible video brings with it - all while still trying to make people dance. Did I manage? :-)

This is the way Monaco Vinyl Disco started into 2021. Deep and Tech House vinyls, some of which can rightly be called classics by now. The final one is by Tomcraft, who sadly passed away just a few weeks ago. Rest in peace!

Singer/Songwriter, Producer, DJ - a bit of everything. Just like a weeping clown, really - hence the name. I love making music - I hope you enjoy it, too! For the foreseeable future, I'll put everything on here as a free download and am happy when I get paid with comments, likes, reposts...

Also, I'll repost a select few tracks and mixes from artists and labels I like - especially from, but by no means limited to, the Munich area. So check back now and then to see what's new ;-)
