Call it destiny when two strangers from Mexico City find each other in L.A. and form an Indietronic rock duo that started with a jam session and a ukulele.

By popular demand, friends encouraged actress and vocalist Fernanda Romero and musician, composer Abie Toiber to write, perform and record more music after the initial song inspired by their jam session was so well received.

The duo has performed in the L.A. local scene as well as a successful Mexico City tour.

Nylon Magazine selected The White Cherries as a finalist in their “Next Huge Deal in Music” contest in 2013 and they have been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine Mexico.

In 2015 The White Cherries signed a publishing deal with Young Hero a joint venture music publishing company founded by Winston Giles and Ministry of Sound Australia.

‘’Stranger Lovers’’, the first EP from The White Cherries, has an electronic indie sound with a sexy edge provided by mixing engineer Caleb Shreve (Phantogram, Ra Ra Riot, Stars)

‘’Air - Remixes’’ is their second Ep and its a compilation of Remixes from the Stranger Lovers Ep.

The remixes feature David O’ Gorman (the simplifiers), David Durst, Fascinator and Nicolas Essig.

Both Ep’s are available on iTunes and other digital stores.

Currently The White Cherries are finishing a new Ep mixed again by Caleb Shreve, and it will be released the summer of 2016
