Hello world,

After a short spring break and our latest ACCENTVA008, which was very well received by the scene, Accents Records is back with its original format and the pioneering ACCENTEP series, dedicated to solo EP releases and the digital format. This allows artists to express themselves forcefully and effectively through a corpus of 4 to 6 tracks that define as closely as possible the scope of their current output.

Always at the forefront of electronic music research, where experimentation and techno music meet, the label has chosen to highlight the complex musical work of Australian artist Diffused Signal.

For this special occasion, this is our thirtieth release from the catalogue, the genius producer who has already signed to renowned labels such as Lowless, Circular Limited and Crescent London is not new here either, having joined Various Artists ACCENTVA007 last year, offers us what he does best with this original opus made up of six previously unreleased works oscillating between atmospheric techno teeming with detail, psychedelic driving techno tracks, lysergic tribal half-steps, quasi-industrial and mechanical excursions, where nocturnal ambiences flirt with ethereal and poetic pads, over which sharp and fearsome polyrhythms intertwine. All in all, it's the ideal music to discover in the middle of a feverish night on dancefloors in the middle of the temperate jungle.

Light sources appearing in the depths of space creating shapes and formations which evolve to become a pattern of stars, the deepest most comfortable feelings of warmth envelop you and take you into a dream like state in which balance and harmony have been restored.

‘Pattern of Stars’ takes emotional states of consciousness, deep atmospheres and nature to form a peaceful and tranquil place in the world. Six original works and three beautifully crafted interpretations combine into the third Inhmost journey to appear on Huinali Recordings.

So take your time, get comfortable and delve into this ethereal experience to escape from reality. Enjoy!

Infra was created during a creative challenge in March. The then-over 150 members of Aedi were invited to create a track without using cymbals and to avoid similar sounds, inspired by some of the pioneers of deep techno.

The music submissions, album titles and artworks were compiled in an anonymous list and voted for collectively.

Copenhagen’s Echocord label returns this September with the release of the ‘Invincible Nature’ EP by Altone, featuring remixes from Thomas Fehlmann and Another Channel. Altone, the alias of Tokyo-based Yuki Takasaki, is a prominent figure in the Japanese dub techno scene, having released music on labels such as Greyscale, Lempuyang, Vuo and Æ Recordings. His unique take on dub techno has garnered international recognition within the underground scene. Now, he joins the esteemed Echocord label, a significant force in dub techno for over two decades, led by Kenneth Christiansen.

Today’s premiere features a laid-back, dub-infused remix by the legendary Swiss producer and composer Thomas Fehlmann, known for his work with The Orb and releases on labels like Kompakt, R&S, Tresor and Apollo to name a few. The remix is characterized by rich sub-bass, glitchy synth modulations that keep morphing throughout the track, and soft dub stabs that add a distinctive touch.
The track premieres today on Delayed, with the official release scheduled for September 6th.

For its first ever release, Polën invites nine producers from the french electronic music scene to share their own take on ambient & downtempo music.

Biotope Season 1 has been entirely recorded and produced during a creative residency in October 2023 in Salles-sous-Bois (France).

The artists spent this precious time together collecting field recordings from the Aleyrac valley, sharing knowledge, playing music and learning about our natural surrounding. As part of the creative process, the artists had to use some pieces of the field recordings in their composition. Polën’s first compilation is the result of this wonderful experience : a crossroad of genres, and a humble experimentation about time, music and life.

Clarence Rise - Corpuscles [KV061]

Sharath Narayn a.k.a. Cosmic Attic keeps it current on Mix #112 with a bright, forward-thinking range of RnB, electronica and hip-hop.

The first time we saw Sharath Narayan was in Chennai with his alt-rock band, and only project at the time - Black Letters. Since then, he’s launched his solo venture Cosmic Attic with an impressive debut EP, titled ‘Climb’ (reviewed here) and live performances acorss the country. The 24 year old producer/DJ has also recently been selected to participate in the third edition of the Kyta residency program in Kalga.

Sharath’s unique, pop-influenced sound is marked by dreamy, layered synths and crisp beats peppered with field recordings taken in his current bustling habitat of Mumbai. ‘Climb’ was released as a free DL on Bandcamp, and caught our eye for its evocative vocals and vibrant, pop-influenced melodies. This one’s worth keeping an eye on.

For his Wild City mix, Narayan delivers an easygoing selection of some of the more progressive RnB, hip-hop and electronica released in the last couple of years. #112 begins with a mash-up of Mndsgn’s ‘Bed’ and ‘Indefinite Leave To Remain’ by Ninja Tune’s newest prodigy Sarathy Korwar before moving on to the smooth, groove laden tunes of Kaytranada, Taylor McFerrin and Bibio. It’s also got a heady dose of rap and hip-hop beat from K. Dot, Samiyam, Clams Casino, Clipping and more. The mix ends with Cosmic Attic’s own interpretation of Shigeto’s ‘Ritual Howl’.

This is the perfect mix to play at an unhurried, laid-back evening at home with just the right number of people.
