The Wild, The Innocent was born in a Columbia dorm room in February 2018, when Riley Burke and Brendan Krovatin began crafting lyrics and melodies together. They found a shared interest in topics like the intricacies of relationships as well as intimacy, isolation, and connection.
Fusing jazz and folk influences, The Wild, The Innocent makes music that one friend described as "big band folk."
