Another Blast from the Past --- looking through some old CD's I found this recording (October '92  - Live At The LKA Stuttgart) from a Blues & Rockabilly outfit I used to play with back in Germany from circa 1988 to 1994 ... \:o) 

We played this Stray Cats tune during an all-night long benefit concert at the LKA in Stuttgart - which was also broadcast at the time on German TV -  with 10 other bands from my home-town Stuttgart to raise money in support of a campaign to prevent the closure of youth centres for young people ...
 
... and STILL I could kick myself for giving away this beautiful '64 Gretsch Tennessean you hear on this track after the breakup of the band :o( ...

After recording a slowed-down montuno theme on my Boomerang looper synced to my drum machine I found myself jamming on top of it -  together with that Mambo rhythm it somehow gives me a slight African flavour which I like a lot :o)
