In the late 1970s, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 spacecrafts launched by NASA had one ‘Golden Record’ on board each.

In these records, there were images showing the cultural diversity and life on earth along with natural sounds and human-made music: From ‘Johnny B. Good’ to wedding songs of Peru…

Following the lead of Voyager Golden Records, Özgün Çağlar’s “Katibim Records” is on air every Wednesday at Radio Modyan to present modern and folk songs of the communities of the world, mixing avant-garde with psychedelic and the old-fashioned mainstream.
