The 26 year old New Jersey native known as The 22 was first introduced to music at the tender age of 3 by his father, a drummer, whose own musical aspirations were deferred by The 22's grandfather, whom recommended that his son "get a real job" that would provide a stable financial existence.  

It was under his father’s musical tutelage that The 22...by age 10, began to write poems and play the guitar and drums.  By age 14, he began to write lyrics while he played piano.  At age 16, he suffered a snowboarding accident that prevented him from playing high school sports but recalls "never being that much of an athlete" and transferred all his newfound time to composing music and writing lyrics.  When 18, his younger brother, an actor, committed suicide and this personal loss was another catalyst for The 22 to conquer the music world as he exercised the pain he was feeling and refocused his efforts to what inspired him most - music! And this endeavor proved to be a healthy outlet and was therapy for his aching heart.  He remembers visiting his brother's gravesite, and with guitar in hand, let the moment ignite his inner desire to create and produce great music. 

The 22's melodic lyrics and driving piano were inspired by the missed opportunities of his father, the personal loss of a brother, and an unquenchable thirst to simply create; like those of his musical influences: Bruce Springsteen's stage presence, passion and lyrical genius; Keith Richards exceptional rhythm guitar riffs; Andrew McMahon's piano prowess; and Taking Back Sunday's melodic synergy of sound and lyrics.   

His talents and passion for music are boundless.  He anticipates great success and a long musical career that will be a testament to the diligence, perseverance and respect he holds for his craft and for those that made it possible.
