Gloaming is the time right after the sun goes down, when big things can happen.

I'd like to say that this track is mine, but this fantastic song came entirely from the insane mind of Alpha Crater. The only thing I did was to enhance the incredible qualities it already had -- I added a bass line à la The Police, synths that were reminiscent of 80s music, more new wave drums and things like that. So my work here was basically perfumery, as I wanted to stay as faithful as possible to the original material.  😄

When Charlie showed me the demo track, I was impressed by the vocals and how the whole song took me back to the sound I used to record on cassette tapes in the 80s to listen to on my walkman. Hence the cover image, which is a tribute to this habit so popular among young people at the time.

Alpha Crater is an English synthpop artist with a love of fun, horror and the 80s. Check out his great music on his Soundcloud page:

The amazing cover illustration is an image available on Pinterest. I haven't yet found out who the author is, in order to give him/her due credit, but I suspect it's Rita Saraiva, a Portuguese artist of immense talent.
