THE ZONE TEASER

The Zone is a quintet from Norway that was started in 2016 by guitarist Arne Martin Nybo and saxophonist Mathias Hagen. Although the group is newly formed, it is a product of the collaboration between the two initiators in other projects that have emerged from the conservatory of Stavanger during their time there. Thus it is a product that has matured over many years in other constellations. The bands sound can be described as lyrical jazz with clear roots in the american jazz tradition. The group sets out to create a bridge between tranquil and turbulent, and by combining the two, produce a richer musical landscape.
