🌕 Strawberry Moon Rising
A dream-folk invocation by David Goosey

This piece began as a vision: a ball of grey, ancient hands all backs of hands closing around something unseen, unknowable. From that dream came a day where nothing could be reached, destinations slipped through my fingers, and the world felt slightly off-axis. The sky told me it would happen. And that evening, when I stepped out to witness the Strawberry Full Moon, the clouds were already rolling in. Somehow, I knew they would be.

Strawberry Moon Rising is the sound of that knowing.
It’s a meditation on old shame, the grip of memory, and the quiet, defiant fire of release.
It begins in shadow hands that know the truth but can’t face it  and moves toward illumination.
The song speaks in sparse loops and reverent words. And at the end, the Moon speaks back.

    “I kept the fire when you forgot.
    I held your name when you could not.
    Now bloom, now burn, now sing anew 
    The sky is wide, and so are you.”

It’s a small ceremony of freedom  the sound of the past falling away like autumn leaves,
and the future blooming in full, luminous pink.

For those walking strange paths under full moons.
