China wants to be part of the Arctic order and, as a rising power, emphasizes the global implications of the Arctic's melting ice. But how do we assess, both regionally and globally, China's role in the Arctic region?

This mini-conference at the University of Copenhagen explored the subject with a presentation by leading scholar of Chinese foreign policy Dr. Linda Jakobson, and a panel consisting of associate professor Uffe Jakobsen, journalist Martin Breum, Dr. Aki Tonami, researcher Kasandra Behrndt-Eriksen, ph.d. Rasmus Gjedssø Bertelsen, ph.d. Damien Degeorges, and senior researcher Kristian Søby Kristensen.

Conference recording: China's Arctic aspirations

ThinkChina.dk is a think tank at the University of Copenhagen established in 2012 as part of the university's China strategy. It explores questions pertaining to how Denmark should view a rising China, and how Danish stakeholders can benefit from the increasing influence of Chinese institutions and actors.
