Third Try’s drummer and lead vocalist Christian Spivey and Third Try’s lead guitarist Fernando Jauregui originally met in high school. After high school, the two later joined a southern rock band, neither felt like it was the right sound for them. This lead to the project and group known as Third Try.

Third Try’s music embarks upon multiple genres. With the collision of the duos style, the meshing of genres like Rock, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Punk, and Blues are all part of what makes Third Try so unique. 

The band’s unique debut single “Don’t Get Comfortable” and debut EP “Third Try”(self titled) were recorded and mixed with Christian Spivey’s iPhone. Later, the band upgraded the quality eventually leading to higher quality projects with even more powerful vibes.

The band made it’s impact on the Fort Worth and DFW scene by playing at skateboard competitions and small events throughout the area. This only made sense with the skater type influences that the two have within the music.
