"Remind Me, So I Can Sleep" is a musical introspection into life, celebrating birth and commemorating the missing, remembering the past times and dreaming of a better future.
This journey provokes us to the ancient question “what is the meaning of life?" while cherishing every second of our existence. We’ve been asking this question since the beginning of time, the answer we may find could be through our respective and shared lives.
In these times where everything is going fast, why not take some time to find ourselves and live life to the fullest.

The last release from Forbidden Society was marked by his ‘[No Return]’ LP – a force to be reckoned with, and after he took slight hiatus to collect himself after several ground breaking years. Whether this has included the success of his self-titled clothing brand, or his music which has proven just as popular, his work rate has been second to none. Even during the lockdown period where he was unable to perform to his usual crowd of thousands. But after realigning his audience with both his more minimal, stripped back sounds of his 140 records of his darker drum & bass offerings, his forthcoming ‘Dystopia’ EP makes new ground once again as he continues on the trajectory of his career. 
Also debuting on several other imprints, including Noisia’s VISION and RAM Records through his Audio album collaboration, the ‘Dystopia’ EP sees him refine his sounds on his own Forbidden Society label. The producer’s carefully crafted sonics cut through the weighty basses of title-track ‘Dystopia’, which is followed in quick succession by the more subdued, sweeping atmospherics of ‘Distanced’. ‘Last Breath’ rolls out on top of wooden instrumentals, providing another look into Forbidden Society’s intricate soundscape. Then finally, you’re brought into the world of ‘Trapped’ and ‘0606’. With ‘Trapped’ being Reminiscent of a grime inspired instrumental but flipped through Forbidden Society’s aggressive tuning alongside ‘0606’ with Forbidden Society’s 140 stamp, they both breathe new life into an already diverse discography.  
With a touring schedule spread throughout Europe, Forbidden Society show his creativity runs deep, whether that’s on festival stages or locked down in his home studio. The ‘Dystopia’ EP is one of many releases to come from the artist this year as produces an even more eclectic back catalogue of work.

Big Oof is one of the very few times i named a track in the very early stages of production. I sat down one evening messing around with some white noise and came up with that first drum pattern. My initial, honest reaction was to maniacally laugh and call the project file "big oof.flp" and that's what stuck. I made the rest of the song very quickly after that, as it was a good premise for an entire track already It's an outlier in a discography full of outliers. It's definitely the shortest track i can remember making and it's also the most minimal. I like odd Drum Patterns and my previous experience with breakbeats fit into the picture quite well too, which made it a very easy track to work on. I remember finishing it and thinking "wow that's pretty good" and cockily submitted it for airplay at Vision Radio. They ended up actually playing it, which was a highlight of this year for me. The laugh at the end of this track is sampled from Dave Columbo on that radio show and is just how i heard that track ending in my head since that happened, so i put it in the actual final version too. It fits quite well with the absurdity and the humor of the track so it seemed like a good match in that way too.

Third Colony as musical project and label is born with the meeting between Yan (living in Montreal, Canada) & Julien (from Toulouse, France) with the mutual goal to create electronic music how we think it should be: deep, emotional, inspiring, beyond genre-boundaries. 

We created Third Colony Music with a "DIY" mood, sharing our skills to stay as much independent as possible. We're doing the music, sound design, artworks, mastering, managing distribution, communication, video clips, etc...
The spirit and philosophy of the project are clear, it’s about passion, dedication and expressing ideas and concepts of possible scenarios for a near and far future. 

It’s about evoking emotions we all share, traumas, bliss, fights, losses, hopes with and overall optimistic tone somehow. We also feel that Third Colony is a safe haven for people to connect, express ideas freely and feel “home”. 
As we all are also heavily inspired by art, movies, comics, videogames, the visual aspect of TCM is as important as the sound to underline our philosophy.

As a Label, TCM is a shelter for artists we love and we've already released musical journeys from Opsen, Aethek, Kocky, Arcine...
