For its ninth release, Dusk Notes invites 3 guest artists, each gifted and stylistically distinctive in their own right, to reinterpret tracks from Imagery’s self-titled album. Wide-ranging and divergent in genre, the compilation closes out with a remix from the label founders.

Homemade Weapons’ striking take on “Asymmetric Information'' features his signature audio sculptures of precise and militant choppage. Viels’ intricate rework of “Don’t Crush the Acid” is marked by commanding breakbeats and ominous ambience. Fred P’s version of “Don’t Crush the Acid” embarks on a jazzy groove with musing and yearning melodies. Soramimi and Rondec take us inward at eventide with a hushed and intoxicating montage of “Inner Sunset.”

Everything Changes - Dirty Instruments

Erdy Bat might be more elusive and less known to some, but is definitely not a stranger to the underground DnB and bass music scene in Germany. Erdy, grew up in Mongolia’s capital city of Ulan Bator and moved to Germany in 2004. Her DJ career started in 2009 and she developed a unique style presenting different sub-genres of DnB in a mix. She likes to build and create tension within her sets and finds the fusion of halftime, liquid and hip-hop elements specifically help create the vibe she is after - that being one much darker and deeper. Based in Cologne, Erdy has also had a long-time involvement with Shake Up Recordings crew. A long-established and respected DnB label in Germany with its launch in 1998.
