Bio:
Corey Russell aka Kurrupt is a Brisbane based Drum and Bass DJ/Promoter. He was born and raised in Hokitika NZ and made the move to Australia in 2003. Corey started out his musical career as a drummer. Joining his first band at the age of 18, Corey instantly knew then that music and performing would always play a major role in his life.  After spending some 20+ years working in bands all over the South Island of NZ and QLD, Corey took his focus away from live bands and redirected it towards his one true passion… Drum and Bass. Playing his first club set in 2007 saw Corey develop not just a passion for the music but also for the scene, leading him towards founding BassCreepz. Under the BassCreepz brand Corey has not only played countless shows for some of Australia’s biggest promoters, but he has also been responsible for bringing some of the largest names in Drum and Bass to Brisbane. 

Kurrupt has had the honour of sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in Drum & Bass to date.

Bio:
Paul Baguley and Sonya Bailey have been producing electronic music as ManMadeMan since 1994, operating in both the commercial and underground dance scenes. 
Their recording studio is often credited as The Tetrapod. 
Both artists came from completely different musical backgrounds. Paul was working with bands and Sonya was a wayward young girl with a keen ear. Coming together they partied hard at some of the most legendary events back in the early days, Cripps Barn, Dragon Fly, The Fridge, The Rocket and Space Hopper, the club that launched them. It was these experiences that inspired them to create music within a scene that was totally different from anything they had been involved in before. 
And so MMM was born: one EPS 16+ and away they went, until they had a live set. Whilst playing in the clubs where they had partied in earlier days, DJ Tsuyoshi Suzuki heard them and soon after they released their first single. Later they released their first album and followed this up by gigging around the world. This led to meeting loads of new people who were starting labels and soon they were releasing music globally on many record companies throughout the industry. They signed up with Concord International and found themselves supporting the Shaman in 1996. 
Together they worked alongside many producers and have played at a wide range of events across the world. In the summer of 1996, China Records approached them for an album deal. They were then working with the producer of many hit records including Bruce Willis' "Under The Boardwalk". This led to their releasing tracks alongside U2, Massive Attack, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, Leftfield and many other renowned artists, and they found their music being remixed by chart-toppers such as KarmaSutra. 
Manmademan have been on the play-lists of Judge Jules, Pete Tong, Sasha, Digweed and other leading DJs. They have fiercely held on to their independence by retaining all rights to their publishing.
I firstly want to thank Paul (Poz) and Sonya for being my guests for A Sound Defined. And I would like to thank DJ Izzy for the mix!
The Psy-trance movement is a family. Although great in numbers it is relatively small in comparison to the likes of house (Some would argue) or even Techno for that matter. Psy-Trance as a genre requires not much from you as a punter just a simple philosophy of Peace, Love and Harmony. The music takes you and your surroundings on a journey, and I think this best describes ManMadeMan. They take us on a journey. Every major Psy-Trance, Goa-Trance Act/Producer has remixed their work. Names like Hallucinogen, Polaris, Tristan, Eat Static and many more with the list continuing to grow!
The back end of 2013 is looking busy for ManMadeMan with a new album of unreleased  material collected from the past 15 years and many new collaborations to come.

BIO:
 For those of you who dont know who we are...
Soulflex is a New Zealand based electronic act formed in 2011, consisting of three members Reece Robb, James Harrison and Clinton Lauridsen. With a love of bass, beats and breaks, and a creative spark drivin by sound, all three members have been experimenting with electronic music production since mid 2008, and have all been actively involved as DJ/Mc's in the NZ bass culture scene.
Over the last year Soulflex have been hard at work fine tuning their sound in preparation for the release of there second EP entitled "DARK MATTER". Due late 2013 and Consisting of 4 brilliantly produced Drum & Bass tracks, this EP is definitely building excitement across the board.!
With the single release of "INTRAVENOUS" featured on IAM Music's Aotearoa Bass Allstars compilation CD, including THE biggest names in Electronic music, the boys have shown they have what it takes to be on the international stage.

BIO:
DJ Sikosis began his DJ career back in the early 90s, playing in various venues around Brisbane, Australia including The Tube, Babble-On (Resident), Hotel Jubilee, Crash n Burn and various cafes / art gallery openings at Cross Galleries. 
 After the collapse of Babble-On in 1997 and then Crash n Burn in 1998, he then took things online with Gravity24hr dot com, where he ran the site, along with contributing mixes with the other 40+ DJs involved. However, 3 years into the operation, Gravity24hr dot com was forced to shut down, due to APRA's (Australasian Performing Right Association) inflexible licensing costs on streaming music.  DJ Sikosis then went underground and hadn't mixed in public or bought vinyl since. He was spotted playing paintball for Paint Savvy in 2004. In 2008, he joined the Dancenode.com team as their Drum n Bass aficionado and later began contributing mixes to the weekly radio show on Party107.
 In late 2009, he started the monthly sensation The Chill Factor

Terrorbyte was programmed in 1981 as part of a secret governmental experiment to create an artificially intelligent security firewall for MI5 against a background of continued political tension during the cold war. As the Soviet Union collapsed, the 'Terrorbyte' program was suspended and the software was subsequently deleted ... or so they thought. Fragments of Terrorbyte a.i. were scattered amongst  the UK governmental mainframe and in 2004 coalesced, became self aware and went renegade. Terrorbyte's digital ghost now traverses the internet undertaking guerilla raids against commercial pop music worldwide high on illicit cookies, spam emails and raw infrabass audio data.
Terrorbyte is architect of the UK based Beta Birmingham and Beta Test imprints and part of the indubitably dope UK Glitch Hop crew.. Beta Birmingham was founded in 2011 to diffuse the most impeccably detailed and freshest electronic music in the Midlands with Beta Test Records to follow in 2014 with the release of a 180g Glitch Hop Battlewax, first in what is to become a series of releases from some of the meanest gremlins on the glitch circuit.
