An indie rock band taking musical influence from The Dandy Warhols, Arcade Fire, The Beatles and The White Stripes - the energetic Third Smoke cement their place as one of Ireland's emerging must see bands. 2012-2013 saw multiple sold out shows and festival appearances. After over a year absence spent in the studio the lads are ready to return. Expect a live show built on controlled mayhem and powerful vocal interplay.

The lads are actively building a very loyal and rapidly expanding fan base and have played sell shows in the Academy 2, Whelans and multiple sell out shows in their home town venue the Spirit Store. Whilst supporting The Minutes on part of their last Irish tour they have also supported bands such as Ham Sandwich, The Kanyu Tree and Belfast's Fighting With WIre.
Most recently the lads made the top five in recent the recent Hotpress Big Break competition beating off 100s of bands to make the top 30 and then going on to make the top 5.

Media successes:
The song "Dog Rough Dancing" featured on RTÉ 2's Monday Night Soccer. Airplay has also been received on Today FM, Phantom FM and Dublin City FM a long with many other regional stations across the country.

billing and was among the highlights of the evening with a packed DoneDeal Stage. The set kept
getting better until it was finished with a joyous cover of Pumped Up Kicks and their own classic Dog
Rough Dancing which induced crowd surfing and a mammoth stage invasion. These guys are

Third Smoke are an Irish alternative indie rock band of multi-instrumentalists whose energetic performances are built upon a mixture of powerful vocals, dynamic harmonies, and the chaotic on-stage swapping of instruments. Drawing inspiration from, and comparison to, Arcade Fire, Talking Heads, Glass Animals and Foals, Third Smoke have established a live show that channels anthemic, melody-driven indie rock with a blending of gang vocals and controlled mayhem.

Their profile has been steadily rising over the last three years, with notable performances including a very well received set at Other Voices, supporting Ham Sandwich on a national tour and in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre, along with supporting Glen Hansard, Delorentos and Le Galaxie among others. Third Smoke have appeared at festivals including Longitude, Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions, Indiependence, Castlepalooza, Knockanstocken, Sunflower Festival, Vantastival and many more, along with headline appearances in Whelans, the Roisin Dubh and the Spirit Store.

Elements that make Third Smoke come across like a good bet include a lead singer (Hugh Donlon, lanky, slim, the owner of a haircut that has seen better barbers) who isn’t afraid of using the small venue space to the best of his ability (in other words, he’s a nutter). Interestingly, there is more interactive swapping of instruments at this gig than at any other I’ve seen over the weekend. This is either the egalitarian process in full swing or just a bunch of people that like to keep the songs on their toes. Whatever the process (we think it’s more the latter than the former), it works a treat.
