Partial Press Release: The 43rd release on microCastle welcomes Brian Cid back to the label for a brand new EP. The NYC based artist has enjoyed much success since his label debut in December of 2014. An EP on Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound and a mini LP on Guy J's Lost & Found Records top his 2015 highlights, while 2016 holds even greater promise with a new project for Cityfox on the horizon. Over the last 12 months Brian's sound has taken on a life of its own, increasingly organic and deeply emotional, the US artist has further stretched his sonic boundaries, with luminaries such as Adriatique, Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo, Joris Voorn, Richie Hawtin and Thugfucker now play listing his music. His return to microCastle has been much anticipated and a quiet start to 2016 has only made his rapidly expanding fan base even hungrier for new material. Brian now presents his second EP for the Canadian imprint entitled 'Belles Du Shaman' alongside a remix from Eagles & Butterflies.

The release concludes with the appropriately titled 'Eternal Sunrise'. A groovy, percussive journey with haunting motifs and sultry rhythms. With a deeper emotion and sense of reflection it rounds the EP out with an uplifting moment, as Brian states "Eternal Sunrise is the brightest record of all, although it holds a deep tone to it. The early morning hours of the desert inspired me. Moments of joy delivered by the rays of light. A bright new day that takes you into the unknown. Loopy percussive rhythms and melodies that suck you right in. This track is the perfect sonic interpretation of that moment in time and soul."

As the northern hemisphere’s summer season kicks into gear, Guy J’s Lost & Found label is set to raise the bar yet again with another exceptional release. Sometimes music sounds like it is made in heaven and maybe this is one of those moments?

With an illustrious career stretching over two decades, Chico Shuella has become one of Israel’s most respected and sought after DJs and producers. An accomplished pianist (with an exceptionally keen ear for musical harmony), he operates under his Chicola production moniker and has transformed the underground house scene in his homeland while making giant strides on a global scale.

The solid, basic, percussive intro to “Childhood” gives little away about what is to come, before simple, heart-melting melancholic chords rise up and create a cathedral of heart-wrenching beauty. beGun from Barcelona lands in Sincopat putting the focus on the Kiribati islands (Pacific Ocean) as the next destination in this particular electronic music journey. This new work presents two tracks whose names, Kuria and Vostok, correspond to the two most remote capitals of the insular complex and also two of the places that are suffering the most from global warming, and may disappear in the coming decades because of the continuous rise in sea level. In the words of the same producer:

"The goal of aiming at that inhospitable place to a musical level is to be able to contribute my part in the awareness of the effects of climate change, because it would be very unfortunate that in 10 years those two songs are still there while the two towns who gave their names have disappeared from the map”.

With this EP, beGun broadens its own musical spectrum without neglecting its recognized and unique creative personality: always elegant, landscaping and porous in the face of ethnic references through the use of local folk instruments combined with complex rhythms, penetrating basses and atmospheres charged of melancholia. For the remixes, AFFKT gives his own vision of Kuria giving it more musicality with thicker and live synths. For the part we welcome the duo Brigado Crew, who offers a more massive Deep House remix but with a breakdown clearly emotional and vibrant.
