Third World member, Maurice Gregory ( brother of Jamaica's own Papa San) delivers a smooth lead vocal and shines with an exquisite cello solo from non other than Cat Coore.  "If I Could Fly, I'd pick you up and take you INTO THE NIGHT, and show you love....."

Third World is one of the longest-lived Reggae bands of all time. Mixing in elements of R&B, funk, pop, rock, dancehall and rap to create their own style, ''reggae-fusion''. With four decades of smash hit songs, sold-out tours, 10 Grammy nominations, recipients of the United Nations Medal of Peace for inspirational messages, the band returned to the Belly Up on August 5th 2014.


The band’s reggae fusion sound has allowed them to make many musical collaborations with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Toots Hibbert, Marcia Griffiths, the late Gregory Isaacs, Sly & Robbie, Dean Fraser, Inner Circle, Mykal Rose, Junior Reid, Capleton, Stephen & Damian Marley, Tarrus Riley and Tessanne Chin. Celebrating the band’s 41st anniversary on this Tour the night included such hits as “Ride On”, “96 Degrees in the Shade” “Try Jah Love” and their own versions of “Sweet Dreams” and “Now that We Found Love”.

Third World - Ride On | Live at the Belly Up 2014

Third World, one of most pivotal reggae bands of all time, will release their new song “YimMasGan” on June 16, 2015 on Ghetto Youths International. The Damian Marley produced song, which will also be accompanied with a new music video directed by Jamaica’s own Ras Kassa, is a fresh take on the 1974 original track by The Abyssinians. Yim mas gan means let him be praised in the ancient Ethopian Amharic language.
